Just one question, is it safe to use these keys in production? Just wondering what would happen if a key suddenly stopped working, like getting banned by VMware.
I have the same question... I use KVM here... buuut, I want to test... I think just block the esxi hosts in the firewall...
no worries even it will work without internet you can diable internet for esxi and vcenter
How do I disable esxi internet? I tried putting a fake gateway but it didn't accept it, and I can't even leave the gateway blank.

The easiest way to do that, is to block the host in your (physical) firewall oder modem of your provider, just take a look if it says "block devices" or so, somewhere. For the firewall it would be a bit more conplex, but still possible.
